It is ideal for trips within the US and can accommodate coast to coast travel quite easily. These jets can attain speeds between 490 and 590 miles per hour, and depending on the model of private jet seat from six to ten passengers in comfort and style. The standard travel range for a midsize jet is around 2000 to 2500 miles or 4 to 5 hours of flight time.

Bombadier's offerings include the Learjet 60XR and 55, with the 60XR offering additional cabin space and range. The Bombadier Challenger 300 is suited to fliers needing additional range and space with a maximum range comparable to the Cessna Citation X.

Finally, Gulfstream produces the G150 and G200. The Gulfstream G200 offers the highest range of any of the midsize jets at 3,912 miles.
