2. What is a Midsize Jet?

A midsize jet is designed as a private aircraft, seating seven to eight passengers, plus crew. The midsize jet is primarily used as an aircharter, executive jet or private jet. It is ideal for trips within the US and can accommodate coast to coast travel quite easily. These jets can attain speeds between 490 and 590 miles per hour, and depending on the model of private jet seat from six to ten passengers in comfort and style. The standard travel range for a midsize jet is around 2000 to 2500 miles or 4 to 5 hours of flight time.
The super midsize jets can manage transatlantic travel and journeys of up to 3000 miles non-stop. Seating capacity may be up to thirteen passengers. Baggage capacity is typically between 55 and 70 cubic feet.

Finally, Gulfstream produces the G150 and G200. The Gulfstream G200 offers the highest range of any of the midsize jets at 3,912 miles.
